Continuous Improvement:

The district uses SCAP data to evaluate progress and alignment with its strategic priorities.

Current Strategic Priorities

  • High-quality staff
  • Excellent environments
  • Productive partnerships (achieved by reaching out to the community and BOCS)
  • Creating a warm welcome environment (with many staff members greeting students each morning)

Communication:

The district uses multiple communication channels to connect with parents and community members:

  • Board meetings
  • Classroom newsletters
  • District website
  • Social media
  • ALMA

Vision:

The district’s strategic priorities focus on three main areas that guide staff decisions:

  • High quality staff – prioritizing recruitment and retention of excellent educators
  • Excellent environments – creating optimal learning conditions
  • Productive partnerships – actively reaching out to the community and BOCES

Board Leadership:

The Board integrates strategic priorities into their governance through:

  • Policy development and maintenance – creating and maintaining policies that align with district priorities
  • Budget decisions – making financial decisions that are explicitly “connected to strategic priorities”
  • Approval processes – reviewing and approving proposed district policies and expenditures through the lens of strategic alignment

Staff and teacher turnover:

HR maintains records that provide deeper analysis of retention challenges and staff departure reasons.
